Dale Edward Barnes, 69 of Bowie, TX, departed from this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Wichita Falls, TX.
A memorial service will be at held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11th, at Victory Church in Bowie, with Pastor Jamie Reed officiating.
Dale was born January 2, 1951 in Walters, OK to Ancel and Mamie (Brantley) Barnes. He lived and grew up in Temple, OK and graduated from Temple High School in 1980, and later attended Cooke County College. He later moved to Bowie. Dale hauled many different loads all across the country as a truck driver for about 35 years. He spent the last several years enjoying time with his grandkids, and you could usually find him at most of their sporting events.
He enjoyed being outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, and shooting guns. Dale planted a huge garden every year and loved to share his harvest with family, friends and neighbors. Dale was a beloved Dad and Papa, and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Norrella Sue Cooper.
Dale is survived by his son Edward Barnes and wife Brittany and son Jeffrey Barnes; daughter Sarah Barnes, all of Bowie and daughter Crystal Barnes of Florida; six grandchildren Mia, Ian, Kynley, Ali, Raynjer and Kayden, all of Bowie; three sisters Billie Holdbrook, Kaye Anderson, and Melodee Civiletto; 1 niece; three nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
