Jon Nelson, 61, of Harrisburg, SD, left on his final ride on September 8, 2020 at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls, SD. Jon C. Nelson was born on February 21, 1959, in Lincoln, NE to James A. and Bonnie (Meier) Nelson. He was raised by his grandparents, Conrad and Berdena Meier. He attended school in Chancellor and Lennox. He had been married to Katherine Fauskee and two daughters were born to this union. Jon was a carpenter who worked in various types of construction. He had lived in Omaha and Kansas before returning to the Sioux Falls area for over 30 years. His passion was working on and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. In younger years he had enjoyed attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Conrad and Berdena Meier and Robert and Elizabeth Nelson.

Survivors: daughters; Lacy (Luke) Antrobus, Sioux Falls and Maggie Nelson (Jordan Schievelbien), Roeland Park, KS; three grandchildren; siblings: Barb Nelson (Curt Larsen) and Robert Nelson, both of Sioux Falls and an unending list of friends.
