Brenda Snyder, 69 of Des Moines, IA passed away on Monday September 1, 2020. She was born on October 6, 1950 in Bastrop, LA to James Webster and Frances Marie (Phillips) Brown. Brenda was raised in Bastrop and Savannah, GA. She moved to Des Moines, IA in 1965. She attended Lincoln High School. Brenda held various jobs over her lifetime which included John Deere and Midwest Paper.

She is survived by her husband James Snyder which she married in 1980. Brothers James Brown Jr (Susan), Victor Brown (Diane), Kelly Carter (Albert) and Carla Holtzclaw. Children Lee Ann Page (Doug), Billy Rice (Danielle), Rachell Phillips, Tandy Foust (Don) and Laura Thrasher (Kevin). Grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Heather, Krista, Les, Kayla, Amber, Jake , Kody, Hayden, Nick. Great-Grand children Breana, Malachi, Zachery, Kallie, Devon, Anson, Hoyt, Hank, Logan, David, Emmit, Callie, Micah, Paysli, Brexli, Kaynon. Many nieces and nephews, Great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda loved her family dearly and they were her priority in life. Shopping, going to flea markets and attending garage sales were several of her hobbies. She also loved to make crafts, create sewing projects and had a passion for collecting various items such as the Wizard of Oz. We feel she is heading down the yellow brick road on a new adventure.

She left this world way too soon and will be missed more than words can ever say. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday September 5th. Reach out to the family for details.

I still can't believe that your gone mom! My heart is hurting and I dont know if it will ever stop hurting.
We had a big party in memory of you today mom everyone was there. It was absolutely beautiful to see everyone show their love for you. Laurie gave an amazing eulogy for you. She had so many great memories to share with everyone.
I love you mom! And
My heart aches for you.
Mom until we meet again.
I miss you mom.
