ALFARO Victor Manuel, 66, husband of thirty years to Barbara Alfaro, passed away Sept. 12, 2018 with his wife and family by his side.

Born Oct. 12, 1951 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Arsenio and Isolina Rodriguez Alfaro.

Mr. Alfaro was a University of Kentucky graduate, was of the Catholic faith, and had recently moved from Maryland to Kentucky to be near family.   He formerly resided in Washington, DC where he had been employed as an Information Specialist in the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.

He was also a playwright whose plays were produced by professional theaters in Washington, DC, and the author of several children's stories.

Survivors other than his wife include an only brother, Fernando Alfaro; niece, Alyssa Alfaro, whom were also by his side at his passing; and a nephew, Christopher Alfaro.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Tues., Sept. 18, 2018 at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, 601 Hill N Dale Drive, Lexington, KY 40503.   In lieu of flowers, Victor requested donations be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home Harrodsburg Rd. is in charge of arrangements.
