Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for G. A. Anderson, 67, of Hinckley, who passed away Friday evening, November 13, 1942, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Aurora. Mr. Anderson had been in failing health for many months.
Gustave Anderson was born January 12, 1875 in Sweden. He was educated in Sweden and graduated for the University of Lund.
In 1892 Mr. Anderson came to the United States. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Ryden in 1904. To this union one daughter, Marguerite and one son, Chester were born. Marguerite preceded her father in death a number of years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson have resided in Hinckley since 1904.
A painter by trade, Mr. Anderson had built up a fine reputation in this line of work.
Surviving Mr. Anderson are his widow, Anna; one son, Chester, who is stationed with the Navy in the Canal Zone; two brothers, Carl of Chicago Heights, IL, and Nels, who lives in Germany; and one sister, Helge, who lives in Sweden.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home, Rev. R. T. Richardson officiating.
Pallbearers were Leslie Valentine, Lawrence Nehring, Robert Clark, Ace Clark, Carl Morsch and William Wielert.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery
