Lola was born on March 7, 1922, to Ray and Anna (Goering) Miller in Shelby, Nebraska, the sixth of seven children. She grew up on a farm in the Shelby area and was quite the student graduating high school at the age of 16. She attended the University of Nebraska for one year and then returned to the Shelby area where she was a school teacher in a one room schoolhouse. At a dance in Shelby she met the love of her life, Kenneth Francis Wallace. On November 5, 1946 they were married and faithfully remained so for 53+ years. After a brief stay in Lincoln NE and Cheyenne, WY where Kenny worked for unit airlines they moved with Kenny's job to Aurora, CO.

They had three sons: Richard Charles, Jon Robert, and Timothy James. Lola's sons provided her with nine grandchildren: Jason, Krista, Christopher, Andrea, Amanda, Ashley, Gregory, Ryan, and Reid. Lola was blessed with Ten Great-grandchildren.

Lola was very active in church activities at St. Therese Church and School. One of her proudest accomplishments was going back to work in 1964 so she and Kenny would be able to put there three sons thru college.

Lola and Kenny loved to travel. At first it was mainly family trips to Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nevada to visit their brothers and sisters. Later there were trips to the west coast and ultimately numerous trips to the west coast and ultimately numerous trips to Hawaii where Lola Indulged her inner sun Goddess on the sandy beaches. Finally they would make nearly yearly trips to Montana and Texas to Further spoil there grandchildren.

Lola was preceded in calling by the Lord by her loving husband, Ken, daughter-in-law, Betty, Grandsons Jason and Greg, Brothers Howard, Orlin and Morris and sisters Elnora and Ada.
