Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away in her Terrell home on April 25, 2008. Barbara Bostick was born in Red Oak, Texas on Nov. 8, 1939. She spent most of her life in Terrell and retired from Terrell State Hospital as a technician. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Cone Ashworth and Era Mae Simpson Ashworth; son Rowdy Bostick, brother Alton Ashworth of Kaufman, Texas and an infant daughter, Barbara Nell.
She is survived by sons: Richard Dale Bostick and wife, Trish Bostick and Tony Bostick and wife, Melinda Bostick of Terrell; daughters: Tammy Ruth Edwards and Christie Bostick Blair of Terrell; brother, Michael Ashworth of Mesquite; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in the Goggans Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Clayton McCord officiating. Burial will follow at Chisholm Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, 1911 N. Francis, Terrell.
