Debra Lynn Keene, age 52, of Cedar Bluff, VA went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 8, 2020, following a brief illness. Born August 20, 1968 in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Earl Lester and Shelva McGlothlin Lester of Cedar Bluff, VA.
She was a graduate of Richlands High School Class 1986 and was employed the last 9 years with Tazewell County Public Schools as a bus driver. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She loved spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of the Pisgah Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Lester; one sister, Peggy Fuller; and father-in-law, Carl Keene.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Greg Keene; two sons, Johnathon Keene and wife Diana of Richlands, VA and Zack Keene of the home; two grandchildren, Kailyn Keene and Joseph Keene; mother-in-law, Cutie Keene of Garden Creek, VA; two brothers, Tom Lester of North Tazewell, VA and Douglas Lester of Cedar Bluff, VA; one sister, Cynthia Crouse and husband Roger of North Tazewell, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leslie Keene and wife Theresa, Phillip Keene and wife Pam, Lisa Hess and husband Jimmy, and Carla Lester and husband Jackie; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 11th at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Mike Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery in Cedar Bluff, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
