Patricia Doris (Alexander) Ramos
3/30/1928-1/9/2016

Pat was born March 30, 1928 in San Francisco, Calif. to Harold W. Alexander and Marjorie L. Strock. In 1946, after Patricia graduated from San Leandro High School, the family moved to Dutch Flat where she met Cliff Ramos. Pat married Clifford R. Ramos May 1,1949 in Dutch Flat, Calif. The couple moved to Sacramento where Pat worked for Weinstock Department Store Office Unit Control Department. After the birth of their son, Clifford R. Ramos, Jr. ("Rick"), Pat and Cliff moved to Meadow Vista in 1951, and bought the Meadow Vista Grocery Store. They operated the grocery store until 1972, during which time Cliff Ramos Sr. assumed the role first Meadow Vista Postmaster, as well as being active in the Fire Department and School Board. In those early days, the Fire Department phone rang in the Meadow Vista Grocery and the Ramos home. Many times when the fire phone rang Pat had to run to the firehouse, about 1000 yards from home, to ring the siren. Several times, when Cliff was on a fire, she would have to run to ring the siren for a second fire! In the 1950's and 60's, Pat was active in helping in the Fire Department annual picnic and barbecue that was then held at the Placer Hills School. Pat was active in many fund raising productions for the Meadow Vista Community Center along with Marge Riboni. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker for over 66 years, and her passing has left a deep void in the lives of her husband, son, Rick, and daughter-in-law, Denise. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Pat on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Meadow Vista Gardens, 990 Meadow Gate Road, Meadow Vista, CA 95722. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Meadow Vista Community Center, P.O. Box 598, Meadow Vista, CA 95722.
