Charles Sparks, 89, of California, KY passed away at Highland Springs in Ft. Thomas, KY on September 8th, 2020. He was the son of Charles and Alma (Flannery) Sparks. He had retired from GE as a machinist. He proudly served in the United States Marines and Korean War. He was a member of California United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 53 years Della May Sparks and his wife, Mary Sparks. Charles was also preceded by his son, Ed Sparks; grandson; Larry Jason Little Jr. and granddaughter, Tessa Govan. Brothers; Donnie and Joe Snell and Stanley Perry. Sister; Betty Lackey. He is survived by his sons; Ray (Rhonda) Sparks, Larry Sr. (Darlene) Little and John Sparks. Daughters; Debbie (Marshall) Allen, Nora (Rick) Jones and Sis (Butch) Govan. Along with 15 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 11am-2pm Service will begin at 2pm. Burial with full military honors will follow immediately at Grandview Cemetery. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
