"GRIFFIN, Elizabeth "Betty" (nee: Smith), age 87, of Farmington, died February 27, 1999, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 4, 1911, in Farmington, daughter of the late Pleasant Gentry Smith and Amanda Jane Santee. Also preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Griffin; brothers, Noel Carlton Smith and George Eldon Smith. She was a member of First Christian Church, in Farmington; sang in the church choir and served as Church Deaconess. She was a former beautician/owner of Cinderella Beauty Shop in Farmington. Survivors include a daughter, one grand daughter, one grandson, and one great grandson. Burial in Hillview Memorial Gardens cemetery."
