Phyllis J. Phillips, 94 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was born on October 29, 1925 in Oklahoma to James and Pansy (Stanley) Siberry.
Phyllis was a school teacher and homemaker. She graduated from Ball State University and was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of La Porte where she sang in the choir. She was also a former member of the Four Seasons Gardeners in La Porte and the La Porte music club.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Sean "Tony" Phillips of La Porte. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Phillips and a sister, Lois Shear.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Pastor Steven Galloway will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral on Wednesday. Burial will be at Pine Lake Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
