She worked for many years for the city of Fort Oglethorpe, where she retired as administrative assistant to the Chief of Police. She was married to the late Dr. Bill Perry, and served with him as he pastored Victory Baptist Church in Rossville for 15 years. Five years after the home going of Dr. Perry, she married Evangelist Bob Daugherty and traveled with him around the country as he preached the saving grace of Jesus Christ. She attended West Georgia College in Carrollton, Ga.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Bill Perry; mother, Alma Evans, of Hogansville, Ga.; father, T.D. Evans, of Hogansville, Ga.; brother, Barry Evans of Phenix City, Ala.; and granddaughter, Kristy Leigh Roden.
Survivors are her loving husband of two years, Bob Daugherty; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and April Perry, of Ringgold, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Buddy Roden, of Ringgold; grandchildren, Caleb Perry, of Ringgold, Chris (Katie) Roden, of Rock Spring, Ga., Jennifer (Rhys) Otting, of Chattanooga; and great-grandchildren, Lexi and Ansleigh Otting, of Chattanooga and Emma Kate Roden, of Rock Spring; brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Evans, of Newnan, Ga.; and sister, Joyce Brown, of Newnan; beloved mother-in-law, Ida Perry; brother-in-law, Damon (Rhonda) Perry; sister-in-law, Martha (Bert) Vanoer; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Ernest Groce, husband, Evangelist Dr. Bob Daugherty and Rev. Damon Perry officiating.Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens
