Mrs. Martha Ann Reed, 76, of Adairsville passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Advent Health Gordon.

She was born in Columbus, Georgia, September 6, 1943, daughter of the late Arlin J. Chappell and Vesta Mae Hunt Chappell. She was a member of Eagles Way Church, Calhoun. Martha loved the Lord and her family. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Howard Reed; daughter, Frances Fultz-Reed; grandchildren, Dustin Reed, Tia Dotson, and Michael Dotson; brothers, Eugene, Curtis, and Calvin Chappell; and sisters, Vera Roberson, Yovonne Adcock, and Arlene Lingerfelt.

Survivors include her special boy, Michael Highfield; sons, Jimmy Reed and Carl Reed; daughters, Shelia Ann (Larry) Lovingood and Sherry Marrero; brother, Tommy Chappell; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Following Covid19 guidelines with social distancing, graveside services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 5:00 PM from Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with Rev. Vince Gulledge officiating. Pallbearers will include Alexander Thomas, Miguel Marrero, Steven Friddell, AJ Murphy, Levi Dotson, and Curtis Chappell.
