Age 85, of Shoreview, MN. Bill died on Friday, September 4,2020 at his home on Turtle Lake in Shoreview. He was born on August 20, 1935 in Minneapolis to Selmer and Goldie Swanson. Playing sports at Minneapolis North High School, he earned All-City honors in hockey and baseball. Bill "Sweat Pea" then went to the University of Minnesota to play both sports. He was a long time St. Paul schoolteacher and coach.
He was preceded in death by his parents Selmer and Goldie Swanson and brothers Bob (Yvonne) Swanson, Don (Bev) Swanson.
