Robert Eugene Culp, age 74, of Science Hill, KY, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Robert was born on June 24, 1946 in Columbus, OH to the late Eugene Layton Culp and Irene Turner Culp. He was a member of D.A.V. and the American Legion. He enjoyed working on his computer, fishing, hunting and camping. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Ann Spencer Culp; five daughters, Katherine Irene (and Branden) Sellers of Kenosha, WI, Karen Lynn (and Matthew) Schroll of Prospect Heights, IL, Kim (and Mark) Obey of Hale, MI, Janet (and Howard) Crider of Lincoln, NE and Bernice (and Terry) Holland of Williamson, GA; and two daughters that he raised as his own, Roxanne Parsons of Plano, TX and Tammy Harrell of Wabash, IN; one brother, Samuel Orwin (and Becky) Culp of Leesburg, FL and Bill Sharpe of Somerset, KY, who was like a brother; one sister, Glenda Irene (and Steven) Scamyhorn of Lancaster, OH; and grandchildren, Justin (and Brittany) Schiltz, Amanda Luerssen, Makayla (and Adam) Ruehmer, Lucas Schroll, Clarinda Sellers, Anthony Schroll, Serena Schroll, Pamila McCauley, Elise Cook, Danyelle McCauley, Amanda McIntyre, Arianna McIntyre, Kyla Inman and Cody Inman; and many great grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Eugene Culp Schiltz; one infant son, Joseph Culp; and one brother, Joseph Culp.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Mullins and Bro. Clarence Floyd officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
