Shelia Dannielle Dykes Wood of Geneva, AL passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020. She was 54 years old. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Rickey King officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests memorial contributions to be made to the Wiregrass Nursing Home activities department in memory of Sheila.
Sheila was born in Coffee County, AL on June 27, 1966, to the late Buford and Jimmie Lou Smith Dykes. Sheila worked for 30 years in the medical field caring for the needs of others. She worked at Wiregrass Nursing Home as activities director and later as social services director at Hartford Health Care.
Shelia is survived by her husband of 35 years, Timothy Paul Wood of Geneva, AL; son, Matthew Paul Wood (Nicholas Martin) of Albemarle, NC; one brother, Jerry Dykes (Hilda) of Westville, FL, sister, Wanda Reynolds (Ronnie) of Bellwood, AL; many special nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Her family extends a special “Thank You” to her Wiregrass Nursing Home family for the tender love and care shown to her.
