Anthony (Tony) Marvin Stevens

On Monday, September 7th, 2020, loving husband, father and friend Anthony Marvin Stevens
passed away at the age of 65 in Commerce, Texas at the family farm.
Born in 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Clyde and Nettie Stevens, he spent his younger years digging in the garden and also helping out at Fire Station #1 in Downtown Grand Prairie where his father was a
firefighter. In 1983 he married Melodie Sherry and they had two sons, Aaron and Chase Stevens. In
1993 they moved into a home built by their own hands, and that has been home ever since. Their
home was filled with a love and compassion that became a safe haven for multiple kids throughout
the 27+ years it has been standing. The Stevens’ were looked at as“Mom and Dad”to many that
came by. Some became Family.
Tony spent his life in a constant servitude of others. He would give you the shirt off his back and his
last penny in his pocket. Working for Printpack Inc. for over 40 years he was always there when
anyone had an issue or a problem. He celebrated his life in a love of music, farm work and building
beautiful pieces of rolling art in his trucks and motorcycles from his shop at his home. The only thing
stronger than his work ethic, was his love for his family and God.
Tony is survived by his father Clyde, His Wife Melodie, his sons Aaron and Chase, his sister Cindy,
and his grandchildren Johnny and Bailey.
He also is survived by a multitude of“almost family” he knew. Because if you knew him, he treated
you like family.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 11th at 11:00am at Cottage Hill Cemetery
11400 FM 2478 Celina, TX 75009. Pallbearers will be Clyde Stevens, Chase Stevens, Johnny
