Lois Ann Joyce, age 74, of Eau Claire passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Dove Healthcare Nursing & Rehabilitation.

She was born July 12, 1933, in Eau Claire, Wis., to John and Florence (nee Nederoski) Bleske. A graduate of Chippewa Falls High School, Lois then went to work for Uniroyal in Eau Claire for 40 years until the plant closed in 1992. In 1953, she married Lawrence Joyce. He preceded her in death in 1993.

She was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church and was a member and the first president of VFW Post 7232 Women's Auxiliary.

Lois is survived by mother, Florence E. Bleske of Eau Claire; a sister, Ladonna Stevens of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, Jack (Carolyn) Bleske of Elk Mound; her special, close friend, Lester G. Jenneman of Siren; her lifetime friend, Charlotte Otto of Eau Claire; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Joyce; her father, John F. Bleske; and a brother, Bill Bleske.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
