Eunice M. (Eunie) Johnson departed this earth July 29, 2020 with a new address in Paradise to be with her Lord & Savior. Eunice was born April 13, 1936 to Ancil & Laura (Rode) Hartman who both preceded her in death. She was baptized May 6, 1936 and was confirmed May 28, 1950.

Eunice entered the career world upon graduation from Franklin Township High School. For 17 years, she was a private secretary to the General Manager of Indiana Statewide REC, Inc. and then as Secretary to the General Foreman at TWA. In 1971 she married her husband Bill and ended her away from home career temporarily. In 1972, their son, William, Jr. (Tom) was born and Eunice chose to become a fulltime homemaker and was active in their son's life's activities when he entered St. John Lutheran School. She then became a bus driver first for Franklin Township and then Warren Township for a total of 25 years before retiring in 2004.

In 2008 Eunice returned to the work force part time for two auto auctions, Auto Dealers Exchange and Indianapolis Car Exchange for 10 years. She worked in the office one day a week on their respective sale days. By 2018, some health issues developed, and she again retired.

Eunie loved family and friend get-togethers, attending Colts games, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, gardening and the great pleasure and love of riding her own motorcycle. For years, she and husband, Bill, took vacations on their bikes as well with a group of 5-6 friend cyclists traveling to other states and many short weekend trips during the summer months. A life long member of St. John Lutheran Church & School, one of her most heartwarming activities was being active and serving in her church, particularly Altar Guild, for many years. She always had a great sense of humor and enjoyed people who were likewise, for a fun-filled social life. Eunie rarely met a stranger and loved to give hugs and socialize.

Eunice is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver, Bill; son, Tom (Billie); stepdaughter, Kim (Doug) Fahey-Gilaspy; step grandchildren, Brandon (Tracy) Fahey; Felicia Fahey; Zac (Heather) Peek; grandchildren, Sydney and Zachary Peek. She also has two step great grandchildren and a sister Judy (Lynn) Fox, in addition to her parents, a brother, Ronald Hartman and sister, Eileen Hood preceded her in death. She leaves much love to many beloved nieces, nephews, dear cousins, and a host of friends.

Her family mourns because we are humans but REJOICE for we are Christian. Jesus said: "I am the Resurrection and Life." We thank God the father for the gift of Eunie's life, however celebrate the power of Jesus resurrection for we are people in life and death.

A visitation will be held, Tuesday, August 4th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church & School 6630 Southeastern Ave. Indianapolis, IN with a service at 12:00
