Excerpt taken from the obituary of Isaac Van Tunks:
Isaac Tunks came to America in 1861 with two sons (one of the sons being Isaac Van Tunks) and crossed the plains during the Civil War and settled in Morgan, Utah. Shortly afterwards they came to the Bear Lake valley and settled in Ovid, Idaho. Isaac operated what was perhaps the first lime kiln in Paris, Idaho, and died from poisoning received while in that business.
