Joshua and Mary Lovejoy were buried on the old school grounds of Kickapoo Creek School in a small cemetery called Beulah Cemetery also known as Robinett Cemetery. Mary died in 1887 2 years before Joshua's death. Joshua and Mary moved from NY to Texas after losing their property in NY to a tax lien in 1882. In Texas they lived with their son Walter Lovejoy in Kickapoo Creek where he taught in a school.
