Mr. Phillips, age 59, of Whiteville, passed from this life on Monday, September 7, 2020 at his home.

Born in Memphis, TN, he was the son of the late Opal Elrod Phillips and George T. Phillips of Whiteville, who survives. On June, 24, 2006, he was united in marriage to Tonya West. He was a welder; had worked for Garner's Automotive in Whiteville and NHC of Somerville as their maintenance supervisor since 2008. He had enjoyed hunting birds and rabbits; fixing old trucks; wood crafting, making crosses and picnic tables and refinishing old furniture. Ronnie loved playing guitar, classic rock and country music, especially Loretta Lynn, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bob Seger. He lived most of his adult life in Hardeman County.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Phillips of Whiteville, and Richard Phillips of Milan; 2 stepchildren, T. J. Maybury of Toone, and Megan Taylor (Jay) of McKenzie; 7 grandchildren, Addison Jo Lambert, Morgan, Dylan, and Collin Maybury, Kennedy Lauren Kee (Corbin), Sydney Felix (Michael) and William Kipton Taylor; and by 2 great-grandchildren, Casen Kee and Martin Michael Felix.
