In 1960 she married the love of her life Earl Williams. Together they made a home in Bertie until 1965. She and her husband decided to migrate to New York City to make a life for themselves. In New York City, Mrs. Rosa Mae was a homemaker for her husband and raised their children. In 2003 she and her husband left New York to return to their roots. Mrs. Williams was a member and Deaconess at Saint Luke Missionary Church in Windsor where she enjoyed serving her Lord. She loved God, church and her family in that order. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Much joy was found in watching and listening to them sing and dance. In her spare time she loved shopping, watching Judge Judy and Dancing with the Stars. She was also known for cooking delicious sweet potato pies.
Left to cherish loving memories are her husband of sixty years, Earl Williams; nine children, Carolyn Crawford, Rosa Weston, Deborah Alexander, Dennis Williams, Jacqueline Crawford, Ida Albergottie, Loriene Harris, Stacey Williams and Derrick Williams; seventeen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
