Margaret had worked at Wirth Hospital in Oakland City, IN, and then went to work at Mid-State Rubber in Princeton, IN, retiring as a shipping clerk. She attended the Wabash Community Church in Vincennes, IN. Margaret loved to cook.
Surviving are her children, Kerry Beard and his wife, Maggie, of Dover, FL, Cheryl Beard of Princeton, IN, Victor Beard of Princeton, IN and J.W. Berry and his wife, Denise, of Decker, IN; her grandchildren, David Beard, Douglas Beard, Christopher Davis, Eric Anderson, Jennifer Hancock, Laura Beard, and Justin Beard; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Born December 25, 1933, in Iona, IN, she was the daughter of George and Helen (Mooney) Berry. Her parents; her husband, Victor “Zeke” Beard, whom she married October 19, 1951 and who passed away February 5, 2017; and her brother, Bernard “Bernie” Berry, preceded her.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 EDT on Monday, at the Wabash Community Church, 1033 N. 10th Street, Vincennes, IN. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, at 10:00 EDT, at the church. Burial will follow in Hamline Chapel Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
