Russell Franklin White, Jr., age 75 of Laurinburg passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020.

Russell was born July 12, 1945, the loving son of the late Russell Franklin White, Sr., and Laura Smith White of Arthurdale, West Virginia.

He was a proud Veteran who served our nation in the United States Army. He retired after 24 years of service with the Camp Soup Company. Russell served as a member of the Hillside Freewill Baptist Church, Gold Wing Motorcycle Club and the V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially motorcycle riding with Sheila. Above all, Russell loved his family and sharing time with each of them.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandsons, Cody and James Housh; his sister, JoAnne Babcock and brother-in-law, Kenny Babcock.

Russel leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Sheila White of the home; son, Scot White and wife, Ashley of Clayton, NC; his daughter, Heather Flowers and husband Jason of Gibson, NC; sister, Susie Forrest of Michigan; his loving grandchildren, Chloe, Levi, Rafe, Rylee, Brittany, LeAnne and husband Robert Johnson; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews and his many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to services on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
