Lewis died at Gnaden Heutten Hospital. He was a retired farmer who spent his life in the Saylorsburg area.
Survived by six sons; William, Walter, Edward, Elwood, Lewis Jr, and Gordon; one daughter, Mrs Beryl Pirzer; four step-brothers, Asa, Theodore, Edward and Charles Young; two step-sisters, Mrs James Gallagher and Mrs Eugene Krock; one grandchild.
