Left Ireland 1833 as a young child with parents. Spent most of adult life in Ontario where he raised his family. Mid 1890s George W Beirnes and wife Catherine Ferguson relocated to the Birtle/Solsgirth area of Manitoba. Some of his children had previously settled there. 1906 census he was living in the village of Solsgirth as was his son George and family. Son William Thomas and family were living in near by Birtle. Some of his children remained in Ontario and others relocated to Michigan USA.
