Mr. Eddie Culver, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

Eddie was born October 22, 1946, in Marshall County, Kentucky to the late John L. Culver and Vena Darnall Culver. Eddie retired after 32 years of service with General Tire and later drove a truck for Thornton Tile & Marble. He was a member of the Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church and for many years operated the sound system at the church. Eddie was a mason and past Master of the Lodge at Temple Hill Masonic Lodge F&AM #276.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin L. Culver, Joseph Howard Culver, and Doyal Ray Culver.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Hopkins Culver of Murray, Kentucky; they married on November 23, 1968; one daughter, Lisa Culver Stout and husband Shawn of Murray, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Kayla Renae Stout of Murray, Kentucky and Amber Shea Stout of Murray, Kentucky; as well as two sisters, Norma Jean Pollock of Murray, Kentucky and Marilyn Dean Williams of Benton, Kentucky.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at the Brooks Chapel Cemetery, Dexter, Kentucky. Rev. Robert McKinney and Rev. Richard Burkeen will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
