SSGT. (Retired) Steven Alan Tyler, 66. Born November 4, 1953, entered into Heaven August 17, 2020 after a hard fought battle with ALS. Steve proudly served our country for 21 years in the United States Army. He also worked for the State of Tennessee Dept. of Safety for 15 years. Steve was proceeded in death by his father Rex Tyler, mother Jean McPeters and brother Gerald "Toby" Tyler. He is survived by wife Tammy Tyler, daughters Tina Tyler and Tracy (Ben)Revell, son Toby (Angelina) Tyler, brothers Richard Wayne Tyler and Greg McPeters, 2nd Mom Ann Tyler, step-sister Leslie Vonada, step-brother Robert Hatch, grandchildren Jason, Jennifer, Malachi, Pheobe, Emma, Alexander, Taylor, Cameron, Bella, Bishop, Michaela, Ashleigh and DJ. Great grandchildren Eliza and Braydyn. Many nieces and nephews. A special Thank You to step daughter and son in law, Breanna and Tony Crunk for helping to care for Steve during his final months on earth. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday August 29, 2020 at 2pm at United Church Gallatin, 1256 Clear Lake Meadows Blvd. Gallatin, TN. 37066. Visitation 12pm - 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter, The Arbor Day Foundation or your local ALS Association.
