Charlene Joyce Maxwell was born July 6, 1932 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Floyd and Ola Mae (Johnson) Maxwell. At a young age, she moved with her family to Oklahoma City, where she attended school and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in June 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd & Ola Maxwell, parents-in-law Henry & Inez Wofford, son-in-law James Larry Dutra, and her dear sisters Geneva Nelson & husband Paul and Darla Jean Helms & husband Roy. In addition, she was also preceded in death by her siblings-in-law H.T. & NaOla Wofford, Bernice & Everett Yates, Emma & Walter Oliver, Virginia & Mitchell Schwab, and Letha Wofford.
Charlene is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph L. Wofford. She was the devoted mother of Michael Wofford & wife Renee of Stockton, Calif., Lana Beck & husband Kent and Rhonda Dutra, all of Cassville, Mo. Loving grandmother of Michelle Wofford and Chris Wofford, both of Stockton, Calif., Stacey Wedin of Rocklin, Calif., Jennifer Cathcart of Spokane, Wash., Joshua Beck and Colt Beck, both of Cassville, Mo., and Naomi Beck of Oak Harbor, Wash. Great-grandmother of 8. Also survived by brother-in-law Lloyd Wofford of Manteca, Calif. and many nieces and nephews.
