Obituary:

Arthur Langhorne Bell, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Langhorne was born in Goldsboro on September 16, 1943 to the late Nereus Donald Bell and Bessie Barham Bell. He owned and operated Dillon Bell Implement Company, Inc. in Goldsboro. Langhorne lived a life of dedication to his family and friends, and to his community. He served his community in many ways and loved his time as a board member for the Waynesborough Park. Langhorne was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

As a true sportsman, Langhorne loved the outdoors whether on the water or in the woods. He loved to spend time fishing with his children and the neighborhood kids. The more the better. Langhorne had been a member of the Rod and Gun Club for many years.

At his request, no formal service will be held.

Langhorne is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Sandra Faye Bell; children, Allison Louisa Bell, Sandra Langhorne Braswell and husband Brandon, and Parker Barham Bell and wife Courtney; grandchildren, Sara James, Charlotte James, Emily Braswell, Anna Braswell, and Augustus Langhorne Bell; sister, Hannah Diedrick and Webber Paxton; and brothers, Don Bell and Joe Bell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his memory to St. Paul United Methodist Church Technology Fund, 206 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or to N.C. Wildlife Diversity Endowment Fund, N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, 1702 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699.
