HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Laura Smith Adams, age 51, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 11, 1968 in Fort Mill, SC, a daughter of the late Coy “Toy” Smith and Betty Ann “Nannie” Smith. Laura was a very simple lady. She was an avid Clemson and Laine Hardy fan, especially loved Clemson football. Laura was of the Baptist faith.
Laura is survived by her husband, Dennis Wayne Adams, Sr.; a son, Dennis Wayne Adams, Jr. (Heather) of Johns Island, SC; a sister, Betty Honeycutt (Lawrence) of Lancaster; two brothers, Mitchell “Goat” Smith of Heath Springs, and James Mitchell “Pete” Smith (Becky) of Heath Springs; a niece Taylor Ray; and a nephew, Cody Ray.
Laura was preceded in death by her father and mother.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm, Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Rich Hill Community Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lancaster County Veterans Administration, 1003 W. Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.
