APRIL 24, 1942 – FEBRUARY 17, 2020

Nancy Louise Haynes (Duzan) passed away February 17, 2020 in her home with her family by her side. She was born April 24, 1942 in Edgar County, IL. She was the daughter of Ula Mae (Hollis) and Ben Duzan Jr.

She is survived by her sister Carol Ann Herbin of Tucson Arizona. Her daughter Tammy Haynes with partner Phillip J Miles, her grandchildren Craig Stankiewicz and Cristan Elsmore, 5 great-grandchildren, one nephew and one niece.

Nancy graduated high school class of 1960 in Paris, IL. She married Daniel L Haynes July 1, 1961-1988. She worked diligently beside him to make his electrical business excel. She later married Ron Clapp May 12, 2000 until his passing in 2018.

She also worked at Depositions Inc for Ken Nunn, MCCSC for the superintendent, OBR realtors as office manager, and retired as a transcriptionist for Bloomington Hospital.

She enjoyed doing many things in her life, including 4-H, gardening, and had so many artistic talents that there was no end to what she could do. She enjoyed being a Red Cross volunteer especially when she and Tammy deployed to North Carolina for a hurricane disaster. She was woman of the year for American Business Women’s Association for Bloomington, IN in 1985.

There will be a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E Third St. Private Entombment will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and the world will be a much lesser place without her in it!
