Wanda Faye (Parton) Wilson, born November 10, 1933 and residing in New Market, TN, formerly Sevierville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the age of 86.

Faye’s family was from Greenbrier, TN, and she grew up in Sevierville, TN. At the age of 16, she married her sweetheart Billy Wayne Wilson on August 5th, 1950. They had been married 68 years in August of 2018. She was a member of the Williamsburg Pentecostal Church of God on Upper Middle Creek and attended the Pentecostal Church of God on Parton Hollow Rd. Faye had read her bible 24 times through and was working diligently on her 25th. Faye dedicated her life to the Lord at 10 years old, and for anything she had, she proudly gave God credit.

Faye, an incredibly hard worker, loved to be outside in her garden. From flowers to produce, she always raised the best of the best. Faye showed her love through her legendary cooking; her servant’s heart refused to let a single person leave her home hungry. Faye was the light of the room and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy, leading by example of honoring love, honesty, integrity, and devotion to the Lord. She cherished each member of her family as a priceless treasure and treated everyone she met with the same love that God shows all His children.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years Billy W. Wilson; parents, Robert & Ella Cogdill Parton; brother Carl Ray Parton (infant); sister, Pearl (Sherman) Green; brothers, J.R. (Sylvia) Parton, Dee (Shirley) Parton, & Harold Parton; In-laws, Charlie & Kate Stinnett Wilson, Juanita (Chuck) Myers, Peggy (Percy) McCord, Freda Wilson, & Burl Boling, great great grandson, Wyatt Murray.
