Janet N. Payne, 82, of Temperance, MI, passed away, Thursday, August 20, 2020 in her sleep. Born March 7, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leonard and Norma (Hearson) File. A 1956 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, she married Jack Lawrence Payne. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jack Leonard Payne and granddaughter, Alyssa Payne.
She is survived by her loving son, James Payne; grandson, Matthew Payne, Jeffery Lohmeyer; great-granddaughter, Jasmine Payne and long-time friend, Miguel Gonzalez.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
