Diane was a beautiful person in every sense. She was caring, sensitive, nurturing, gentle, and kind. She thoroughly enjoyed being a "second mom" to her son's friends.

Diane loved to play with babies and little ones. She was fond of her nephews and nieces and created wonderful memories of special sleepovers. She had a great sense of humor, loved to dance, and sing. Connecting with people and lifting them up was important to her, as was evident during her years as a waitress at Barney's Diner. She bravely battled chronic illnesses, however, it didn't dim her attempts to give of herself - whether it was her famous lasagna, relish plates, or delicious desserts. She enjoyed cooking, music, Nascar, and football, and absolutely loved being a mom and grandma.

Diane was preceded in death by family members, Floyd Elliott, Ron Zoerb and Fred Daugharty; and ex-husband, Mike Thomas.

She is survived by her parents, her husband, two sons, her brother, two step children, and many others.

Memorial Mass, 10:00AM, Saturday, September 12, 2020, St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
