Mike was born September 21, 1952, in North Platte to Harriet and Bob Arney and later graduated NPHS in 1971.
In March 1973, Mike married Kerma Saling and his only child, Brandi, was born later that year. He and Kerma later divorced.
Mike worked in the air cargo business at the Denver airport for 15 years then became the regional manager at TruGreen Chemlawn in Denver.
Mike was an avid golfer and was even a volunteer coach of the University of Nebraska women's golf team. He attended lots of Husker football games and loved taking his daughter and grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler, to those games.
Survivors include his daughter, Brandi Dukes of Lincoln; grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Dukes; brother, Jeff Arney of Utah; sister, Becky Arney of California; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation was chosen and there are no services planned. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
