On Monday, August 17, 2020, Karen D Hubbard departed this life at the age of 55. She is survived by her mother, brother, five children, one grandchild, a devoted companion, in-laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Private ceremony on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Johnson and Jenkins Funeral home.(Husband: 199330074 check after burial)

Karen Diane Hubbard (Adams), a longtime resident of Sterling Heights, was received into the loving arms of Jesus on May 24, 2023. She was 77 years old.

Karen was born on July 9, 1945 in Dodge City, Kansas. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Krueger) Adams. She was united in marriage to her husband, James C. Hubbard, on September 2, 1967.

Karen is a graduate of Lutheran High East and Highland Park Community College where she earned a degree as a medical office assistant. She spent most of her career working for cardiologists - Dr. Poole and Dr. Artinian.

As a longtime member of St Thomas Lutheran Church, Karen had a heart to serve. She participated in many service Ministries and was always willing to help whenever a need was made known. Karen loved boating with her husband. She understood the value of friendship and loved meeting with her close friends, Sharon and Charlie Andromolos and Ann McCarville. She looked forward to attending a Tiger game and eating a ballpark hot dog, planting flowers and baking. Many may remember her delicious tea cakes which she shared with anyone from the garbage men, car repair men, bankers and, of course, her family. Although we grieve Karen's passing, we know she has left us for a better life free of illness and pain.

Karen is survived by her siblings-Janet Adams, Nancy (Rickey) Grager, Deborah (Robert) Laroche, and Robert (Patrice) Adams; and cousins, nieces and nephew, great nieces and great nephews. [Faulmann & Walsh] Interment: July 12, 2023
