Henry Edmond Webb, Jr. was born on December 11, 1923, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Henry Webb, Sr. and Benetta Waller. In the early morning of Friday, August 28, 2020, God called Henry to his eternal Heavely home.
Henry served in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He was honored along with other veterans in Washington D.C.
Henry was employed at the United States Postal Service and the Water Reclamation Department of the City of Chicago until his retirement. Henry was very intelligent, in fact, he was the only person to score 100% on the test for the Water Reclamation Department.
Henry had the ability to put on paper whatever he saw in his mind. His drawing skills were excellent. He also had the unique skill of doing hair.
Henry also enjoyed all sports: boxing, bowling, shooting pool, ping pong, and his favorite pastime, going to the race tracks. Henry spent a lot of time at the race track and had his own theory of winning. In 1942, Henry became the Golden Gloves boxing champ. He loved the sport so much and he was very competitive.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by two children, Michael Webb and Millicent Tinsley; one grandson, Keith Webb; two brothers, Robert and John; and one sister, Miriam.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bertha: his children, Patricia, Anthony, Derrick, Nina, and Benetta: grandchildren, Kenneth, Shataun, Me'Chele, Bryan, Ashawn, Diamond, and Ma-lik; great-grandchildren, ShaVaun, Christina, Ajia (Asia), Aliyah, Alexander, Tiara and Robert; and great-great-grandchildren, Adrian, Avalyn and Emil.
