James Lynn “Jim” Reeder, 74 of Granbury, TX, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in Fort Worth, TX.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX, with Rev. Phillip Weitner officiating.
Jim was born December 17, 1945 in Bowie to Vendor and Frances (Trout) Reeder. In 1964, he graduated from Douglas High School in South Dakota. Jim then attended Texas A&M University graduating in 1968. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force in Vietnam.
Alongside his father and brother, Jim started Reeder Air Conditioning serving the Tarrant County area until his retirement. He enjoyed photographing wildlife, bird watching and spending time at the lake. He loved his family dearly and was loved equally by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew.
Jim is survived by his sister Barbara Brown and husband Charlie of Arlington; brother Kenneth Reeder of Kennedale; nieces Kimberly Hiebert and husband Gordon of Aledo and Darlynda Casterline and husband David of Burleson; nephew Cameron Brown of Arlington; great-nephews Spencer Hiebert, Clayton Hiebert, and Emery Hiebert and wife Kelsea; and great-niece Danyelle Casterline.
