Funeral services for Arthur Ray Jordan will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2020 in the Lighthouse Church of Oakdale with Reverend Jerry Odom officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Arthur, 73, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2020 in Oakdale. He was born February 19, 1947 in Oakdale to the union of Otha Arthur Jordan and Dorothy Louise (Richmond) Jordan.
Before retiring, he worked for T & L Timber as a log loader operator. Arthur was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is preceded in death by his father, Otha Jordan; and one brother, Sim Riley Jordan.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy Jordan of Oakdale; two sons, William Ray Jordan (April) of Oakdale and Chad Nichols (Georgia) of Orange, Texas; two daughters, Juanita Chaffin (Roy) and Belinda Simon (Tony) all of Oakdale; one brother, Roy Lee Jordan (Yvonne) of Glenmora; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one nephew, Roy Glenn Jordan (Lacey) of Cotile Lake; along with a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Robert Johnson, Steven Johnson, Roy Glenn Jordan, Tony Simon, Roy Chaffin and Cole Goode.
Visitation will be held in the Lighthouse Church – Oakdale, beginning Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., then on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
