LAKE VIEW - Mrs. Gloria Jeanette Driggers Walters, 71, widow of Kenneth James Walters, Sr. joined the Heavenly Choir on the morning of Thursday, September 3, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at her son’s home after an extended illness.

Jeanette was born July 15, 1949 in Marion County, South Carolina a daughter to the late Osborne E. Driggers and the late Leila Soles Driggers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and spent most of her days as a homemaker, making sure everything her family needed was provided. She was a member of Trinity Holiness Church in Dillon County.

Surviving Mrs. Jeanette are four sons, Kenneth James Walters, Jr. of Lake View, Dwayne Walters of Marion, Enoch (Julie) Walters of Lexington and Eric (April) Walters of Marion; seven brothers, J. W. Driggers of Mullins, Carlton Driggers of Lake View, Eugene Driggers of Nichols, Douglas Driggers of Lake View, Shelton Driggers of Nichols, Donnie Ray Driggers of Mullins and Ralph Driggers of Calhoun, GA; five sisters, Catherine Suggs of Loris, Evelyn Elvington of Lake View, Audrey Boatwright of Marion, Willa Ree Miller of Lake View and Lisa Driggers of Dillon; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Jeanette was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Britt and Wanda Gail Small.

A funeral service will be held at Trinity Holiness Church outside of Lake View, Saturday morning, September 5 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Charles Tarte and Rev. Carlton Driggers officiating. The church and funeral home request masks be worn during attendance and to follow church guidelines and social distancing orders while in attendance. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum inside of Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mullins, with Cox-Collins Funeral Home directing the arrangements.
