Glynn G. Blair, 72, a retired contractor, died Tuesday, Oct 30, 1997, at a Bedford hospital.
Funeral: 11 am Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Blair was born July 25, 1925, in San Juan, Texas. He was reared in Randlette, Oklahoma and married his wife, Maxine in Childress in 1946. That same year, he was honorably discharged from the Navy, having served during World War II from 1943 to 1946. Mr. Blair was a master plumber/contractor and started Blair Plumbing Co. in 1959. He retired from his work in 1986, and had worked the past seven years at the Payless Cashways Lumber Yard on Blue Mound Road.
Survivors: Wife, Maxine Blair of Saginaw; sons, David Blair of Saginaw, Geary Blair of Brock and Wayne Blair of Watauga; brother, Melvyn Blair of Weatherford; sisters, Darlene Young and Francis Russell, both of Weatherford; grandchildren, Jeremy Blair, Erin Blair, Derek Blair, Ryan Owens, Nichole Blair, Kara Blair and Tyler Hunter; and daughters-in-law, Tanya Blair of Brock and Renee Blair of Watauga.
