Service for Verlan Thomas 'Vern' Cowin, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
A 63-year Spokane resident, Mr. Cowin died Thursday. He was born in Leeds, N.D.
He worked for Columbia Electric for 26 years. He also worked in real estate for 10 years.
Mr. Cowin was a member of the Moose and Eagles lodges. He also was a member of bowling leagues in Spokane.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Margaret; a daughter, Carol Anderson of Sammamish, Wash.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Names.
