Scott John Irwin, 55, of Montague, died Sunday, January 5, 2014, at home.
Born in Jersey City, Scott lived in Washington Township, Bergen County, and grew up in Sandyston Township, where he lived for most of his life before moving to Montague 10 years ago. He graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Finance. He worked for various construction companies and was most recently the Project Manager at Newcrete Construction. An avid fisherman, Scott enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife.
Scott was predeceased by his only son, Kevin Irwin. He is survived by his parents, Donald J. and Joan May (nee Taylor) Irwin, of Sandyston Township; his brothers, Donald G. Irwin and wife, Patricia, of Shohola, Pennsylvania, and Thomas Irwin and wife, Eileen, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; his sister, Joan L. Gerth and her husband, Charlie, of Sandyston Township; seven nephews; and one niece.
