Jackie was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Kim, for nine years. He was a man of strong faith where he attended Indian Village United Pentecostal Church for the past fifteen years. He enjoyed working on four-wheelers and mowing lawns aside from his full time job. Four-wheeler, side by side and motorcycle riding with “Sons of Arthritis and Ibuprofen Chapter” in Arkansas and Texas along with a host of family and friends was a big part of Jackie’s heart. Jackie loved visiting around town, cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. He was a family man and adored his children, always making sure they were well taken care of. Jackie always said “well now” and when asked how he was doing he would always respond with “just peachy”. He was a very hard worker and would help anyone in need. He never wanted anyone to go hungry. He served the town of Kinder as a police officer for the past sixteen years and the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office for eight years prior to that. Jackie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory include his parents, Lloyd Holland of Topsy and Georgia Holland of Kinder; wife, Kimberly Holland of Kinder; son, Mitchell Holland of Sulphur; one daughter, Samantha Holland of Lake Charles; one brother, Dwane Holland of Topsy; one sister, Kari Broussard and husband, Joel, of Oakdale; one nephew, Jacob Holland; and four nieces, Molly Fontenot, Johnna Parker, Karlee Buxton and Kami Buxton.

Jackie is preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Lucy Holland and George and Lecian Pitre.

The family would like to thank the Kinder Police Department, Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office, Allen Parish Ambulance and Allen Parish Hospital for all of their help, love, care and compassion.
