David Lee Anders, age 72 of Orange, Texas, made his way to heaven on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Due to Hurricane Laura the services to honor David's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at RS Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas with Pastor Kevin Inman officiating. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2020 at RS Farmer Funeral Home of Silsbee. Services will be under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

David was born on January 5, 1948 in Kountze, Texas to Margie Mills Anders and Joe B. Anders. He lived in Orange with his wife Sandy. He was a big laid back easy going guy, who was not temperamental like some of his brothers. David graduated from Kountze High School, where he was the salutatorian of his class. He was not a bookworm, as he lettered in 4 sports for 4 consecutive years. He retired from SNC-Lavalin as the VP of Materials. David was a member of Grace Point-Eagle Heights. He was a hard working, amazing man who loved his family very much. David enjoyed hunting and golfing before his knees started to bother him. He later discovered the app for games on his phone and started playing candy crush, wordscapes and crossword puzzles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margie Anders, brothers, Joe Bailey Anders, Jr., Tom Anders and Terrell Anders and sister Jody Dorsett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Sandy Anders of Orange, TX, son Chris Anders and his wife Brandi of Mauriceville, TX, daughter Becky Inman and her husband Kevin of Orange, TX, brothers, Gerald Anders and his wife Nancy of Kountze, TX and Jimmy Anders and his wife Jackie of Kountze, TX, sister Barbara Nell Jacobson and her husband Bobby of Pearland, TX, six grandchildren; Devon Anders, Kiera Hill and her husband Jacob, Madison Inman, Hunter Fant, Macy Inman and Dayne Anders, great grandchild, Everleigh Rose Hill, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends that loved him very much.

Pallbearers to honor David will be Devon Anders, Hunter Fant, Jacob Hill, Dayne Anders, Adam Anders, John Anders and Chris Anders.

Memorials may be made in David's name to Grace Point at Eagle Heights.
