Richard "Ricky" Eric Potter, 57, of Carbondale and formerly of Cambria, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at his home in Carbondale.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020, at Blairsville Cemetery, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS RELATED TO COVID-19: facial coverings are required; social distancing yourself from others; and refrain from hugging.

Ricky was born September 28, 1962, in Carbondale, to Kenneth Maben and Patsy Ann (Woods) Potter.

He is survived by his 3 children, E. of Herrin, Nicole of Oregon and R. Potter Jr. of Centralia; father, Kenneth Potter of Hurst; brothers, R. Potter and R. Potter, both of Murphysboro, J. Potter of Marion, K. Potter of Anna, and K. Potter of Cambria; sister, E. Potter of Anna; grandson; aunt, Brenda of Cambria.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother and son, Joshua Potter.

He was a painter for a construction company.
