Albert Murrah Dies of Burns In Home Blaze

Albert S. Murrah, 84, a former grocery store owner, died in a local hospital Sunday from burns received at a fire in his house a week ago. Mr. Murrah's wife died last week from Injuries received in the same fire.
Funeral services for Mr. Murrah, of 999 Drewry St. NE, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Spring Hill.
A native of Shiloh, Ga., Mr. Murrah had lived in Atlanta most of his life. He had operated a grocery store in the Highland-Virginia Avenue section for more than 40 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tom M. Smith Jr., and Mrs. Joe Stanfield: two sons, A. S. Murrah Jr., and Charles Raymond Murrah, all of Atlanta: six sisters, Miss Pearl Murrah, Forest Park, and Miss Carroll Murrah, Atlanta, Mrs. Roy McCorkle, Ellaville, Ga., Mrs. J. C. Sellers, Americus, Mrs. C. E. Wall, Roebuck, S.C., and Mrs. Carribel Wolpert, Austell, and a brother, Wade G. Murrah, Blairsville, Ga.
